A business partner and I started an e-commerce business for college students. It was a website where college students can buy and sell their textbooks through bidding. It was just like eBay except focused on college textbooks. I developed an entire web application with very much all the functionality eBay provided. Tools that were used extensively were Active Server Pages, SQL Server, Transact-SQL, Query Analyzer, Visual Basic, VBA for Excel, and COM.

I developed an incredibly intricate program with all sorts of obscure algorithms that was intended to be sold to large software corporations to stop software piracy. The program was incredible, but my business partners did not succeed in marketing the product. Extensive Visual Basic programming and Microsoft Access database work were required to complete the product.
